Corporate Citizenship: Value Stream Mapping Session with ALAN

This week, LeanCor's Mike Hester, Lean Logistics Specialist, and Susie Sterling, Lean Supply Chain Engineer, hosted a 2-day value stream mapping / process improvement session for ALAN - the American Logistics Aid Network. Kathy Fulton (Director of Operations) and Jock Menzies (President) traveled to Florence for this meeting on July 16-17.

The session started with a short introduction to Lean, ORLOE Problem Solving and the River of Waste by Mike Hester, a recent graduate of LeanCor Academy - LeanCor's internal training and development program.

The ALAN leadership walked away with a completed process map with added value stream map elements and a clear understanding of the value to waste ratio in their process. They welcomed LeanCor's mantra of "No Problem is a Problem" and are eager to start working on those kaizen bursts and hidden factory areas!

With this project, LeanCor put its thought leadership to a good cause in the greater supply chain community.
